Overview: This summer I worked in Wolfspeed's HQ in Durham, North Carolina. During this time, Wolfspeed was expanding its production rapidly. My task was to prepare the semiconductor tools so that they can be ready for technicians to use. I created multiple standard operating procedures, detailing how to use and set up tools. I created a standardized layout on all tools to maintain consistency. I got a chance to use my CAD skills to improve an HMI installation process.
Outcome of experience: This was my first time living away from home. I got to improve on the skills that it takes to be independent, such as budgeting, cooking, and time management. I also learned about the potential of silicon carbide on the EV industry. North Carolina style BBQ is something I will always remember.
Skills developed
Fun fact: I can be fully suited up and ready to enter a cleanroom in 2 minutes.
